Success Stories
I broke my back in March of 2002. The doctors recommended a three month healing time. At the end of three months, my back still hurt most of the time and simple activities like riding in the car made it significantly worse.
I started training in July of 2002- Within about two months, my back was not hurting most of the time, which was a huge life improvement. John focused quite a bit on flexibility and mobility so I am much more flexible than I was. I can now look over my shoulder in the car again.
John helped my back enormously. I feel like I can do anything I did before my accident. I am very impressed and thankful.

I know I am not alone when I tell you I drove by your studio many, many times before I got up enough nerve to give you a call and see what you had that would fit my needs. If I knew then what I know now, I’d wonder what took me so long!
Now, it’s impossible to imagine not training with Chris twice a week. I started out in terrible shape just 6 weeks ago, and although I’m nowhere near my final goal, I am amazed at the things I can do that I couldn’t do before. Chris is so clear in her instruction. She finds just the right imagery to help me concentrate on which muscles I’m working and how to get the most from the workout. She encourages my efforts and progress and she makes me want to work even harder.
I was a senior on the Age Scale, heavy on the Weight Scale, weak on the Strength Scale and couldn’t balance on one foot when I started. Can’t change the Age Scale, but the rest is progressing beautifully.

“Game Plan has been a great service to my teen-aged daughter. The personal trainer has gone above and beyond supporting her beyond the physical fitness. My daughter and I could not be more happy with Game Plan Fitness.”

A lot of times it’s hard to work out on your own. I had several limitations, including wrist and knee surgeries…you were able to work through my injuries… I feel really good when I leave here. I’m able to do a lot more things than I could before …hike a lot farther- I’m not in as much pain. I feel like I’ve got solid rocks for legs!

“After a decade of wanting to exercise regularly to increase my health, energy and confidence with no results I sought out help. After working with Chris Kirchoff at Game Plan for 3 months I went from 28.2% body fat and 144 pounds to 24.75% body fat and 134 pounds. More importantly I overcame the feelings of fear and panic that came with the increase of my heart rate and physical activity. I had more energy and felt comfortable in my own skin. Now almost a year later I am training for a sprint triathlon, which is hilarious since when I started training I didn’t run, bike or swim. Chris’s upbeat, supportive and energetic training style assisted me in the areas of nutrition, motivation, setting achievable goals and reaching them. My mindset has changed from I can’t to I can and I will. I highly recommend working with a personal trainer at GamePlan Fitness.”

“I have been overweight my entire life. Since the age of 4 I have battled physically and mentally with my weight. As the calendar years passed by I began to realize that physical health was more important than physical beauty. At 28 I was determined to not begin my 30′s with the same struggles I had with weight and nutrition in my 20′s so I began slowly exercising and watching my calorie intake. I was too embarrassed to join a gym because I felt you needed to be “fit” and look a certain way. After a few months I was able to lose 25 pounds and I knew that I needed to add more to my workout. Being introduced to Chris and having her essentially retrain my body and mind has been by far the most difficult and rewarding experience of my life. In the past 24 months I have been able to lose an additional 48 pounds and begin to see the rewards of physical fitness. I went from barely being able to jog for a minute to finishing 2 sprint triathlons. My next goal is to run the Seattle half marathon, with an ultimate goal of a complete marathon. The success of crossing the finish line will be a rewarding experience; but nothing in comparison to the lifelong lessons that I will continue to follow.”
“The positive environment of the group exercise classes and the staff of GamePlan make exercising an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Working out and proper nutrition is not a quick-fix or a fad, it is a lifestyle change that I will continually need to focus on. Having a GamePlan trainer involved in my commitment to myself is one way that I am able to continue towards these goals. Having a training plan that is geared to my specific level of fitness and challenges enables me to feel confident that I will in the next year be able to cross that marathon finish line.”

“Joining Game Plan Fitness was the turning point in my quest for healthier living. I knew that I needed help in achieving my overall fitness goal. I felt intimidated by the large fitness centers in my area and felt that they did not cater to people my age or that it was not personalized for my specific needs.
When I called I was greeted with a friendly welcome and assured that I would be meeting someone who I would love working with. When I met Chris I knew that I had made a very wise decision. From the beginning she determined the best plan for me to reach my fitness goal. My personalized plan has allowed me to lose weight, increase my balance, physical strength and cardio. I feel better, look better and have more confidence. Without Game Plan and Chris I would not have achieved my fitness goals.”
